The ticket is a symptom, not the boundary

An expense issue may arrive as a Concur ticket, but its business process continues into SAP FI, general-ledger reconciliation, the close checklist and regulatory reporting. A change that clears the original error can still disrupt a downstream step. A closed ticket does not establish that the whole process works.

The founder’s quarter-close lesson

Ignite9’s founder describes a support provider that had SAP specialists but lacked Concur skills. An expense-integration fix broke general-ledger posting, stopped the close and led to a P1 and fines. This is the founder’s client-side experience, not a result attributed to Tenured or a named customer.

Make the unknown dependencies visible

Before release, record the affected applications, interfaces, reports and owners. A map of known relationships is useful context, not an authoritative inventory of every dependency. Missing information should create a question for an accountable owner rather than an assumption that the impact is safe.

Ask for a release decision with evidence

Tenured by Ignite9 prepares a versioned impact assessment and regression scope as part of the support journey. Unknown impact holds release. Named owners acknowledge blocking items, and named people approve the exact change and window. Start a pilot with one process and test whether its evidence supports your own release decision.
