TENURED BY IGNITE9 · INTEGRATE · MERGERS AND DIVESTITURES
Mergers and divestitures: which code you keep, and where the line falls.
Tenured Mergers & Divestitures compares the custom code and interfaces of two estates after a merger, and traces which code, data and interfaces cross the line of a divestiture, on the same analysis as Tenured Code Remediation. Your people decide what is kept, merged or carved out.
Tenured by Ignite9 is one digital employee for the whole cycle of your enterprise applications: run, modernize, comply, bank, integrate, change, document and deliver. Tenured Mergers & Divestitures is one of its eight service lines, not a separate product.
01 / WHAT GETS IN THE WAY
The problems you already know.
Two estates, one destination
After a merger, the same capability is often built twice, and the same object name can behave differently in each estate.
Whose code, under whose authority
Before a deal closes, the estates belong to different companies, and neither may see the other’s code.
The carve-out line runs through the code
Programs that serve both sides read and write the company codes, plants and sales organizations the line is drawn on.
Interfaces still have to work
The company that leaves or joins still exchanges data with the systems on the other side of the line.
02 / HOW TENURED WORKS ON IT
One digital employee. One governed flow.
- 1
An authorization that covers every estate
A merger comparison runs only under a written authorization covering every estate compared, from each party or from the acquirer once it owns both; without one, each estate is analysed on its own.
- 2
Duplicates and conflicts, compared
The two estates’ code is compared through one shared vocabulary of business objects: the same capability built twice, the same name with different behaviour, and who calls each.
- 3
Organizational keys traced through the code
An analysis of where your code reads or selects company codes, plants, sales organizations and your own organizational keys, including authorization checks and configuration tables. What it cannot resolve is marked unresolved, never guessed.
- 4
The carve-out set and its adapters
From those findings: the units that read or write both sides of the line, the outside callers that cross it, and the set the carved-out company needs, with its adapters.
- 5
Your people decide
What is kept, merged or carved out is your people’s decision. Changes that follow run through the same delivery flow, with your two approvals, and your IT team promotes them to production.
03 / WHAT YOU GET
What the work leaves behind.
A comparison of two estates
Duplicates and conflicts between the estates’ custom code, each with the code it rests on.
An organizational-key map
Where your code uses each company code, plant and sales organization, with what could not be resolved.
A carve-out set
The code, interfaces and adapters the carved-out company needs.
04 / INTEGRATE · WHAT TENURED DOES
What Tenured does for you.
Merger comparison of two estates
Duplicates and conflicts between two estates’ custom code, through one vocabulary of business objects, under a written authorization covering both.
Organizational-key analysis
Where code reads or selects company codes, plants, sales organizations and your own keys, with dynamic cases marked unresolved.
Divestiture boundary
The carve-out set and its adapters, from the organizational-key analysis, with every outside caller that crosses the line.
05 / IT SHOWS ITS SOURCES
How you can check the work.
- 01
It shows its sources
Every look-up gets its own INFO- reference, and every change carries the proof your requester approves on: the transport Tenured read itself, the unit test before and after, and the rollback values.
- 02
It reads before it changes anything
Digital employees read your systems first, through the vendor’s machine routes before its screens. In QA and production they display only, and Tenured refuses every save, post and release step there.
- 03
Your people approve every change
In its delivery flow, your requester approves the move to QA, the person who tested approves the change, and your IT team deploys it to production. Digital employees never deploy it.
- 04
Your ticketing system stays the record
Two-way ticket sync with ServiceNow and Jira reads tickets in and writes progress and resolutions back, so your service desk keeps one record.
06 / HOW TO START
Become a design partner.
Tenured’s capabilities are delivered through design-partner engagements: scope and timing are confirmed when we scope your work.
Become a design partner
Bring your first cases and shape the work with us. Your people set the scope, and Tenured works on your systems under the access you grant.
Become a design partnerStart with a read-only assessment
Tell us the system and the work. We scope what Tenured reads, read-only, and what it needs from your people, before anything changes.
Start with a read-only assessment
NEXT STEP
Bring one ticket that bounced between five teams.
In a 30-minute demo we show Tenured at work, walk through how it would handle yours, answer your security team’s first questions and agree the scope of a design-partner engagement.
